The ordinary lives of Jean-Jean and Henri, two lifelong friends living on an island in Brittany, change when they learn that a villager has won a huge lottery jackpot. They start a sneaky investigation to find out who the winner is, but unexpectedly discover that the winner has died in shock from his win. They come up with a complex plan to get the jackpot, but they need to get the support of the villagers in order for their plan to succeed. However, this leads to the villagers demanding a share. The old friends and the villagers decide to work together to trick the lottery company and win the jackpot. The film tells a complex story about friendship, ambition and moral values, making the audience both smile and think.

The film was shot in the beautiful Bretagne region of France to create a realistic and warm atmosphere.
