All We Imagine as Light
All We Imagine as Light
Adira and Nathan, whose paths intersect in the shadow of an accident, are two strangers who are searching for meaning in life again. While Adira mourns the loss of her family, Nathan tries to forgive himself in order to pay the price for the mistakes he made in the past. Starting from the dazzling and chaotic streets of India, the film examines how these two characters support each other and the journey they embark on together to overcome their traumas.
While Adira's silent strength and Nathan's regrets drag the audience on an emotional journey, the director addresses the inner conflicts and the need for connection in fine detail. The fragility and intimacy in the couple’s relationship form the heart of the story, while the tense moments where the dark shadows of the past still follow them keep the audience glued to the screen.
The visual metaphors and music used throughout the film emphasize the contrast between light and darkness, telling the inner transformations of the characters. In the end, the new hope that Adira and Nathan find by holding on to each other offers a powerful message to the audience about the fragility of life and the power of starting over.
