In 1792, on the verge of the French Revolution, King Louis XVI, Queen Marie Antoinette and their children were arrested and imprisoned in the Temple Tower, a grim castle in Paris, far from the splendor of Versailles. This is the untold story of an era where the modern world was born. It is inspired by the diaries of Cléry, who was the cellmate of the king and stayed with him until his death. This story tells of a period when the royal family was isolated and defenseless in their lives for the first time. The story recounts the resistance and courage shown by the family as they awaited trial and struggled to survive.
