Two angels expelled from heaven want to destroy the world by questioning God's perfection.


Dogma is a film written and directed by Kevin Smith, full of fantasy, comedy and theological discussions. Two angels, Loki and Bartleby, are exiled from heaven and exiled to Wisconsin. However, they discover a general amnesty opportunity offered by a cardinal to celebrate the centennial of his church. They think they can return to heaven by taking advantage of this amnesty. However, this proves that God is not perfect and this situation can lead to the destruction of the entire universe. This is where Bethany comes into play. She is an abortion clinic employee and also has a heavenly heritage. Bethany is tasked with stopping these two rebellious angels. She is accompanied by a thirteenth apostle and a heavenly muse. Throughout the film, the audience witnesses the journey of these four characters full of obstacles, demons and personal crises of faith.

Dogma is both funny and thought-provoking. It offers serious discussions on religion and belief systems, but it uses a humorous tone while doing so. Therefore, the film makes the audience laugh and think. In addition, the richness of the characters and the originality of the story attract the attention of the audience.
