Kuyalnik Sanatorium

Despite the seriousness of the ongoing war nearby, mud treatments and electroshock therapies continue unabated at Kuyalnik Sanatorium, a huge 1970s brutalist structure with stunning views of the coast of Odessa. In this large and cold structure, the story of a small group of people seeking love, healing and happiness is told. These people are here to heal their physical and mental wounds, to accept their past and perhaps to be truly happy for the first time. Each with different life stories and pains, these people find solace and understanding in each other despite the harsh and cold atmosphere of the sanatorium. The film invites its audience to the personal journeys of these people and a touching story about the power of hope, courage and love.

The film leaves a deep impact on the audience. By witnessing the emotional journeys of the characters, the audience has the opportunity to question their own experiences and lives. The film was shot at the Kuyalnik Sanatorium, which is located on the shores of Odessa and has historical significance.
