"Le Fil" tells the story of a disillusioned lawyer, Jean Monier. Monier is a lawyer who previously defended a serial killer and secured his acquittal. However, after this incident, he faces feelings of guilt and decides not to accept criminal cases anymore. However, all these decisions are shaken when he meets Nicolas Milik. Milik is a father accused of murdering his wife and while everything points to his guilt, Monier believes he is innocent and takes on the case. In the process, Monier confronts both Milik's family and his own internal struggle.
