Playing House
Playing House begins at a quiet hotel on the Aegean coast where Fırat and Filiz, a young couple bored with their lives, decide to go on vacation. Here, they meet the local couple Özkan and Aysun who run the hotel. Fırat and Filiz become interested in the romantic relationship between Özkan and Aysun and start imitating them, copying their accents. However, this situation causes the local couple to feel humiliated, and the hotel becomes a battlefield of sexual, class, and cultural tensions. The film reaches an unexpected climax in the finale.
The film also features different characters and various tension elements to keep the audience's attention. The viewer will be constantly curious from the beginning to the end of the film and will empathize with the experiences of the characters.
The film was shot in the beautiful coastal town of Assos in the Sivrice region of the Aegean.
