"Please Wait" is an experimental documentary that engages with decades of DIY activist media, two deathbed/legacy videos, and the wisdom of many living AIDS workers. As we witness the evolution of video formats, from VHS to Hi-8 to digital to Zoom, the documentary invites us to question how neighborhoods, sweaters and scarves, videotapes, and queer bars harbor ghosts and how we can let them go. The film also explores the impact of the AIDS epidemic on society through the characters and experiences featured in the documentary in a way that captures the viewer's attention. Viewers will gain new perspectives on the impact of AIDS on both the individual and societal levels through the documentary's striking and thought-provoking narrative. The film was shot in various locations across the United States.
