Shy Woman

Shy Woman is a film in which Lizzie Derksen investigates the tense relationships she has with other women. In order to solve this problem, Lizzie interviews her friends, ex-friends, relatives, teachers, enemies and ex-lovers. At the center of the film is the internal struggle Lizzie experiences while trying to understand why she is unsuccessful in these relationships. As the audience watches Lizzie's efforts to solve this problem, they also begin to question their own social relationships. While the film conveys Lizzie's personal experiences and her relationships with herself to the audience, it also offers the audience the opportunity to re-evaluate their own social relationships. The film was shot in England.
