Sweet Rong

The "Sweet Rong" film portrays the importance and challenges of intercultural communication. Our main character, grandmother Rong, goes to a local bakery with her grandson to get a beloved recipe. However, grandmother Rong does not know Spanish and the baker does not know Chinese. Her grandson comes to her aid and becomes a bridge between them. The film shows grandmother Rong's humorous and sweet efforts to communicate with the baker. During this process, the audience witnesses a beautiful story of how language barriers can be overcome and how different cultures try to understand each other. The film leaves an impressive impression on the viewers, making them both laugh and think. The film was shot mainly in China and partly in Spain.
