"Ten Seconds" tells the story of a young man and his mother who study at William College, one of the most prestigious schools in the country. This young man, who was expelled from school and committed a cat murder, becomes the subject of his mother's efforts to return him to school by risking it all. A tense dialogue begins between the guidance teacher, İpek, and the mother, Yasemin. As both women consume each other, the secrets in their lives are revealed. The guidance room turns into a chessboard, and Yasemin and İpek become chess players who have to see a few moves ahead. The film deals with these two "sacred" figures approaching a point of no return step by step.

The film leaves a deep impact on the viewers. Viewers can feel the mother's efforts to return her child to school and the difficulties she faced during this process. Also, the tense dialogues between the mother and the guidance teacher affect the viewers.
