The adventure of Garibaldi in Sicily in 1860 and the idealistic young people who fought alongside him.


In 1860, a group composed of Giuseppe Garibaldi and his loyal officers, along with the enthusiasm of young idealists and thousands of people from all regions of Italy, embark on a great adventure from Quarto. In this adventure, a new profile emerges, Colonel Vincenzo Giordano Orsini of Palermo. Among these numerous militiamen, including two Sicilians, a farmer named Domenico Tricò who migrated to the North and an illusionist named Rosario Spitale, they land in Sicily at Marsala. Here, they begin to fight with the numerically superior Bourbon army. However, overcoming the enemy defense and entering Palermo becomes almost impossible for the general. On the verge of having to retreat, Garibaldi devises a clever plan. This movie tells the story of how these brave youngsters under Garibaldi's leadership stood against extreme difficulties and eventually succeeded.
