The Life of Adults

"The Life of Adults" tells the story of four close friends who stray from their youthful dreams and begin to experience the difficulties of adulthood. The main characters, Ali, Can, Deniz and Burak, focus on different aspects of their lives after graduating from university. While Ali struggles with his dreams of starting his own business, Can chooses to become a teacher. While Deniz dreams of becoming a playwright, Burak aims to become a doctor. Despite their different goals and dreams, the four friends never lose their loyalty and friendship to each other. The film impressively reveals the conflict that young people experience between their dreams and reality and the difficulties that come with being an adult. The film was shot on the colorful and lively streets of Istanbul. This film allows viewers to empathize by putting themselves in the characters' shoes and shows how they would struggle against the difficulties they may encounter in real life.
