The Tattooist's Son: Journey to Auschwitz

This heartfelt and intimate documentary, filmed in Melbourne, Slovakia, and Poland, follows Gary Sokolov, the only son of Gita and Lali Sokolov (one of the real-life tattooists of Auschwitz). This incredible love story began when they met and fell in love at the Auschwitz Concentration Camp, as Jewish prisoners from Slovakia. Here, the Nazi regime systematically killed more than a million Jews. The film explores Gary's first visit to this most infamous German death camp. Gary's journey is a story of confronting history and family history.
