You Were Created as a Weapon and Told to Find Peace


Eleven-year-old Joshua defies the rules in an oppressive society and fights for his freedom.


In a utopian society, children of Aryan appearance are subjected to strict rules and heavy brainwashing. These children, cleansed of their past identities, are trained to speak only in Esperanto to be adopted into new families. Joshua, an eleven-year-old boy, stands out as a child who challenges these strict norms. His friendship with newcomer Ĉiela, particularly stokes the jealousy of group leader Pipro. When it’s time for Joshua to be adopted, he refuses to leave Ĉiela. This draws the wrath of Pipro, who manipulates the group against them. Joshua and Ĉiela are forced to make a critical decision between submitting to the oppressive society or resisting for their freedom.

The film draws the viewer into Joshua and Ĉiela's brave resistance and their struggle for freedom, based on the experiences of the viewers. The film highlights the pressure of a social system on children and their resistance to this pressure.
