The Sopranos
The Sopranos tells the story of Tony Soprano, a mafia boss living in New Jersey.
Tony has to provide for his family and manage the complex relationships of the Italian-American mafia. However, the stress of his daily life and past traumas lead him to a psychological breakdown. For this reason, he decides to see a therapist. His meetings with therapist Dr. Jennifer Melfi reveal both Tony's inner world and the dark sides of mafia life.
The series focuses on Tony's constant oscillation between his two different lives: On the one hand, a father and husband who is devoted to his family, and on the other, a ruthless mafia leader. The growing pains of his children Meadow and A.J., the moral conflicts of his wife Carmela and the manipulative attitudes of his mother Livia make Tony's life even more complicated.
In the mafia world, Tony has to deal with friendship, betrayal and power struggles. Characters such as Silvio, Paulie and Christopher contribute to the unforgettable moments of the series. As much as the action scenes, the deep psychological analysis of the characters and their complex relationships make the series unique.
