Train of Thoughts
In a small town in 1982, the train station hosts the warmest human touches. Photographer Li An-quan lives a happy life with his two beautiful daughters, Wen-xiu and Wen-juan. However, one day, Li An-quan leaves his wife and daughters without saying a word and is never heard from again. 12 years later, Wen-xiu is now selling lunches on the platform. When she sees someone who looks like her father, she chases after him to find out if it's really him, but is disappointed every time. Her father never returns, but his good friend Wu-xiong comes back 12 years later. Following Wu-xiong's return, a series of events occur in the town, and Wen-xiu encounters unexpected turns in her life.
The film reflects the warmth of town life and the complexity of human relationships. Also, it shows how people deal with the past and how they confront unexpected turns in life.
