"Fire Bird" tells the story of a theater dancer's journey to India, fleeing from the shadow of the past, to find her mother. Our main character finds herself in a series of strange and dreamlike events while tracing her mother's footsteps. Masks, puppets, songs; all of these spin around her, blurring the line between reality and theater. The desire to find her mother draws her to the heart of India and perhaps to the depths of her own inner world. This film offers its audience both an emotional journey and encourages a deep inquiry into cultural and personal identity. The film was shot in St. Petersburg and India.
