A couple buys the house of their dreams, under the condition that they never open the basement door.


Desiring to make a fresh start away from the city, Sera and John move to the suburbs of Portland, Oregon. They are directed to their dream house by a mysterious man named Emmett and they purchase the house. However, this perfect looking house comes with one condition; the basement door must never be opened. Emmett emphasizes that this rule is non-negotiable. Sera and John accept the rule but over time, their curiosity about the house and the dark secrets of the basement increases. They discover that old houses, like people, have deep, dark secrets. In this suspense-filled story, the couple's curiosity and desire to confront the unknown lead them to unexpected consequences.
