Half of Ana tells the story of Ana, a mother whose child confesses to identifying not as a girl, but as a boy. In a state of confusion and surprise, Ana decides to take a step back to understand and observe her child's situation. During this process, she also tries to understand her own identity. Ana and her son are two sides of the same coin: a mother who has overlooked her own identity and a child who is fervently searching for his own. The film draws its audience into deep thoughts on gender identity, family ties, and personal identity. It offers viewers the opportunity to see through the eyes of both Ana and her son, showcasing the emotional journey and growth of both characters. The film was shot in Istanbul, Turkey.
