Left-wing Canadian-American documentary filmmaker Leonard Fife was one of the 60,000 deserters and fugitives who escaped to Canada to avoid the Vietnam War. Now approaching his late seventies, Fife is dying of cancer in Montreal and has finally decided to reveal all his secrets, giving one last interview in which he demythologizes his mythologized life.
