Čovjek koji nije mogao šutjeti
The Man Who Breaks the Silence deals with the stopping of a train, which was travelling from Belgrade, Serbia to Bar, Montenegro, by armed Serbian paramilitary forces at a station in Štrpci, Bosnia and Herzegovina in February 1993. The train, carrying more than 500 passengers, becomes part of an ethnic cleansing operation. The Muslim passengers of the train are targeted, and 19 passengers are executed outside the train in front of the remaining passengers. Among the passengers witnessing all these events, only Tomo Buzov, a retired military officer, opposes this situation. Tomo, who encounters this tragedy while visiting his son, stands out with his courage and humane stance. The film presents both a compelling story to the audience and provides a glimpse of the inhumane practices during the Bosnian War.
The film leads the audience on an emotional journey, and due to its basis on real events, it allows the audience to form a deeper connection with the film.
The film was shot in Štrpci, Bosnia and Herzegovina.
